The isolationist period in America was when the Americas refused to involve themselves in foreign affairs. While this doesn’t mean America wasn’t willing to fight, this was just a period where they didn’t want to fight unless they absolutely had to (Doenecke). America’s period of isolationism during WWII ended after the infamous attack the Japanese launched onto Pearl Harbor. After this happened the US came out of their isolationist shells and entered into WWII.
